The Influenza A H1N1, is a disease of the respiratory tract caused by an extremely contagious virus and can generate infections in persons and the fast propagation in people.
Although it has similar symptoms, the microorganism that causes the influenza A H1N1 is different to the one that causes the cold or common flu.
This disease affects people from different ages and is transmitted from person to person, through the nose and mouth secretions (cough, sneeze, talk, sing), or by direct contact (hands, when the sick person does not wash his/her hands, kisses). The person who has the symptoms should go immediately to the hospital.

Nowadays, the most used retroviral is Tamiflu of 75 mg. (Oseltavimir).
The treatment should start as soon as possible in the first two days since the disease symptoms appear, with doctor’s orders.
For teenagers (from 13 to 17 years old) and adults: The recommended oral dosage of Oseltamivir is 75 mg. twice a day during 5 days (1 capsule every 12 hours).
People who are influenza vaccinated has less probability to acquire the virus. |
